Twitch panel size and panel-column preview
The short answer
A Twitch info panel image is 320 pixels wide — 320 × 300 is the conventional working size — uploaded as PNG, JPEG or GIF up to about 2.9 MB — checked 31 July 2026.

Panel images render in a fixed 320 px column; 300 px is the conventional maximum height before a panel dominates the page, and the upload ceiling is about 2.9 MB. Twitch does not publish these as a fetchable table, so treat the height and byte figures as working guidance.

Why this asset is awkward
Panels are the row of clickable images under your stream: about me, schedule, socials, donation links. The width is fixed at 320 pixels no matter what you upload, so a 1920-pixel-wide graphic is not higher quality — it is the same panel with the text scaled down until it is unreadable.
This editor crops to a true 320-pixel panel and previews it at exactly that width, which is the only honest way to judge whether panel text will be legible. Transparency is preserved, so a panel with rounded corners or a cut-out shape sits cleanly on the channel page background.

What the overlays mean
The inset box is a readability guideline of our own: panels stack directly against each other in a 320-pixel column, so text pressed to the border visually collides with the neighbouring panel. A 5% margin on each side keeps the set looking deliberate.

- Social Toolshed guideline: panels sit edge to edge in a 320 px column, so text pressed against the border looks cramped next to neighbouring panels.
Three things that go wrong
- 01
Type at 320 px, not at 1280
If a word is unreadable in the true-width preview on this page, it will be unreadable on the channel page. There is no zoom.
- 02
Keep panels the same height
A row of panels at 300, 180 and 240 pixels tall looks accidental. Pick one height and export every panel at it — this tool lets you set a custom height per export.
- 03
Use transparency for shaped panels
Export PNG with a transparent background if your panel is a rounded card or a badge shape. A JPEG forces a rectangle with a hard background colour.
Questions people actually ask
What size should Twitch panels be?
320 pixels wide. Height is up to you, and 300 pixels is the usual maximum before a panel dominates the page. Anything wider than 320 gets scaled down to fit the column, which only makes your text smaller.
Can Twitch panels be taller than 300 pixels?
Yes, the column will render a taller image, but each panel pushes the ones below it further down the page. Most channels keep panels between 100 and 300 pixels tall. The export panel here accepts a custom height if you need one.
Do Twitch panels support transparency?
PNG panels keep their alpha channel, which is how channels get panels that appear to float or have shaped edges. This tool preserves transparency and shows a checkerboard so you can confirm it before downloading.
How many panels should a channel have?
That is a design question rather than a technical one, but panels beyond the first four or five are rarely scrolled to. A consistent set of four — about, schedule, socials, support — outperforms a wall of twelve.
