Why this asset is awkward
The Twitch profile banner is the strip across the top of your channel page, and it is never seen alone: your avatar sits over its lower-left corner on desktop, and phones crop the sides away. A logo placed bottom-left is the classic mistake — it spends its whole life behind a circular profile picture.

Three things that go wrong

Right-align, do not centre
Because the avatar eats the lower-left, banners generally read better with the subject slightly right of centre and the left third kept as texture.

The banner is not your schedule
Stream times set in a banner go stale and are illegible on mobile. Panels are the right place for a schedule; the banner is for identity.

Test it dark
Most Twitch viewers use dark mode. A banner with a white background creates a hard bright bar above a dark page — check the preview before committing to it.

For the profile banner across the top of your channel page, 1200 × 480 pixels. That is a 5:2 ratio. Do not confuse it with the video-player offline banner, which is a 1920 × 1080 image shown when you are not live.
Where does the avatar cover the Twitch banner?
On a desktop channel page the circular avatar overlaps the lower-left of the banner. The editor draws that region on your image so you can keep faces, wordmarks and calls to action clear of it.
Why does my Twitch banner look cut off on mobile?
