Why this asset is awkward
A profile grid is read as one composition, three tiles at a time. Posts that look fine individually can produce a grid with three dark images in a row or all the text stacked down one column, and you only find out after publishing.
This planner arranges your images into the 3-wide grid, lets you reorder them by drag or keyboard, and shows the square crop Instagram will take from each. It is a preview tool: there is no Instagram login, no scheduling and no publishing — you export the tiles and post them yourself.

What the overlays mean
Each tile shows the square crop Instagram takes from a non-square image. A 4:5 portrait loses its top and bottom in the grid, which is the single most common reason a carefully composed post looks wrong on a profile.

Read the grid in rows of three
That is how it renders. Alternating light and dark across each row of three does more for a profile than any individual post.

Newest goes top-left
The planner shows newest first, matching Instagram. Plan the next three posts, not the last nine.

Export the tiles you actually changed
If you only re-cropped two images, export those two. The rest are already posted.
Questions people actually ask
Does this planner post to Instagram?
No. There is no Instagram login, no API connection and no scheduling. It previews the grid and exports image files; publishing stays with you.
How many images should I plan at once?
Nine fills the visible grid on most screens; twelve gives you a row of headroom. Beyond that you are planning further ahead than Instagram’s ordering will reliably survive.
Why does my portrait photo look cropped in the grid?
Because the profile grid is square. A 4:5 post is centre-cropped to 1:1 for the tile. The planner shows that crop so you can reposition before posting rather than after.
