Instagram sizes and creative studios
Vertical 9:16 assets with the published Meta safe-zone percentages drawn directly on your image.
Instagram has the widest gap between “what size is it” and “what do I actually need to make”. The sizes are simple — nearly everything is 1080 wide — but the work is compositional: safe zones that differ between Reels and Stories, a square profile grid that crops your portrait posts, carousels that have to line up seam to seam.
So this section is half size answers and half working studios. Everything runs in your browser on your own images: no Instagram login, no scheduling, no publishing, no upload.
Runs on your device. Your image is decoded, cropped and encoded by this browser tab. It is never uploaded, and there is no image-processing service behind this page.

Instagram questions
What is the difference between the Reel and Story safe zones?
Meta advises leaving about 14% of the top, 35% of the bottom and 6% of each side clear on a Reel, against roughly 250 pixels top and bottom on a Story. Reels are far stricter because of the caption, audio row and action rail.
Do the Instagram studios connect to my account?
No. There is no login, no API access, no scheduling and no publishing. The layout planner previews a grid from images on your device; you post them yourself.
Why is there no Instagram post size page?
Because a page that just says “1080 × 1080” adds nothing. The square and 4:5 canvases are built into the collage, carousel, layout and mockup studios, where they are actually useful.
Doing more than one platform?
