The right size, the right crop, and proof it still fits.

Social Toolshed is a workshop for social images. Every page answers an exact size question and then hands you a real editor: safe-zone overlays, device previews, transparency checks, byte-limit warnings and one-click exports. Your images are decoded, cropped, resized, compressed and packaged entirely by your own browser. No image byte is ever sent to a server, because there is no image-processing service behind this site.

Sourced, not scraped from a listicle

Every dimension carries its source link and check date. 6 of 36 presets were read directly from the platform’s own documentation; the rest are labelled as corroborated, with a note explaining why.

One engine, one focal point

The same crop geometry drives every tool, so a focal point set on a 3:1 header carries across to a 9:16 Reel. That is what makes a nine-platform pack a single pass rather than nine.

Warnings before downloads

Upscale detection, transparency checks, unsupported-format notices and byte-limit estimates all appear before you export — not after a platform rejects the file.

Banner safe zones that survive TV, desktop and phone, plus thumbnails that stay readable at search-result size.

Transparent emote and badge ladders, channel banners and panels — checked at the size chat actually renders them.

Server and profile banners, 128 px emoji under the byte ceiling, and avatars that read well in a member list.

The 9:16 safe zone that the caption, action rail and profile chip actually eat — drawn on your own frame.

Banners that clear the profile photo, plus feed images at the ratios that hold their height on mobile.

Header images that survive the avatar overlap, and post images cropped to the ratio the timeline keeps.

True 2:3 pins built from any source image without the feed lopping off your headline.

Event covers cropped for both the desktop banner and the phone card, from one upload.

Studios for the jobs a crop tool cannot do

Before you start

Are my images uploaded anywhere?

No. Every tool decodes, crops, resizes, compresses and packages images using your own browser. There is no image-processing API, no server action and no upload endpoint anywhere in this product — which is why the privacy claim can be stated flatly rather than hedged.

Do I need an account?

No. There is no sign-in, no export limit and no watermark. Open a tool, drop in an image, download the result.

How do you know the sizes are current?

Every preset records the source URL it came from, the date it was last checked, and whether the figure was read directly from the platform’s own documentation or corroborated from elsewhere. Where a platform does not publish a number, the page says so instead of inventing one. The methodology page explains the whole process.

Which platforms are covered?

YouTube, Twitch, Discord, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, X, Pinterest and Facebook event covers — 37 asset tools in total, plus five multi-image studios and the One Image to Social Pack.
